About AIA Central PA

National Organization
The American Institute of Architects (AIA) is the professional organization that helps architects serve the public's needs and builds awareness of the role of architects and architecture in American society.

Headquartered in Washington, D.C., the national organization operates as the hub of information resources for it's members. Linking colleagues across the country, and overseas, the national office provides invaluable support and guidance to the daily practices of architects and the profession overall.

State Organization
AIA Pennsylvania serves a statewide membership. It represents the interests of architects in state government affairs. It advocates public policies that emphasize good community design and responsible stewardship of the built and natural environments. A statewide Board of Directors representing all eight local AIA chapters governs AIA Pennsylvania.

Local Organization
AIA Central PA is a local chapter serving the central Pennsylvania region of Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Fulton, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Montour, Northumberland, Perry, Snyder and York Counties and is a part of the AIA - Pennsylvania State Organization. AIA Central PA sponsors local activities such as educational conferences, meetings, community projects, post-disaster/urban design workshops, licensing exam preparation classes, building industry meetings, legislative workshops and community awareness campaigns.
