About AIA Central PA
National Organization
The American Institute of Architects (AIA) is the professional organization
that helps architects serve the public's needs and builds awareness of
the role of architects and architecture in American society.
Headquartered in Washington, D.C., the national organization
operates as the hub of information resources for it's members. Linking
colleagues across the country, and overseas, the national office provides
invaluable support and guidance to the daily practices of architects and
the profession overall.
State Organization
AIA Pennsylvania serves a statewide membership. It represents the interests
of architects in state government affairs. It advocates public policies
that emphasize good community design and responsible stewardship of the
built and natural environments. A statewide Board of Directors representing
all eight local AIA chapters governs AIA Pennsylvania.
